Liquipel Watersafe

Liquipel Waterproof

Have you ever spilled anything on your mobile device or tablet before? I can tell you I have, many times. It’s quickly followed up with a brief freak-out to ensure my phone is dry to prevent any damage. I’ve thought about getting a waterproof case before, but because I keep it in my pocket all day, I don’t want to feel like I’m carrying a brick around. I did some research, and the team over at Liquipel has really come up with something cool, Liquipel Watersafe Technology. Liquipel 2.0 is a manufacturing process in which a self-sealed nano-coating is created to protect electronics from accidental exposure to liquids. The unique manufacturing process allows the Liquipel 2.0 solution to penetrate and coat both the external and internal components of the electronic device for complete protection. According to Liquipel’s managing director Sam Winkler, a treated device is able to achieve a water rating of IPX7, which means it can be submerged in one meter of water for 30 minutes. If you’ve been known to spill or want to use this as a cool bar trick, head over to Liquipel and check out this coating.
