How would you like to cook your weenies on a stove that takes up less room in your pack than your trail map? Or your weenies, for that matter (insert your favorite “size” joke here kids). Specifically created with the ultralight backpacker in mind, the innovative, Vertex Ultralight Backpacking Stove assembles from a small, flat pack in seconds and provides full windscreen coverage to direct the heat from either fuel tablets or alcohol burners. With no moving parts, valves, or tools required for assembly, this is dependable simplicity at its best. Fuel tablets are great because they burn better in cold temperatures and at high elevations than isopropane does, with no empty canisters to pack out. The Ultralight is also designed to accommodate the popular Trangia Spirit alcohol burner. Made from tempered 301 brushed stainless steel, this whole stove only weighs 1.8 ounces, so it’s not much heavier than a big bag of…we don’t need to go there. You, however, can go anywhere, hiking, cycling, and portaging without a heavy stove to weigh you down. This is another Kickstarter project, so get over there and check it out for yourself if you want to get in on this early.
